Vice President, Preconstruction
With more than 20 years at Kjellstrom+Lee, Jason Schools has been in preconstruction from the beginning of his career. A true believer in the value of identifying challenges and clarifying scope before they affect the construction team, Jason’s approach to preconstruction is all about the details and he has assembled a team that agrees. As VP of Preconstruction, Jason manages a team of professionals while actively participating in the preconstruction efforts for many of our projects.
Jason grew up in Mechanicsville, VA and currently lives in Ashland, VA with his wife, Jacqueline, and two young boys, Dalton and Slater. Jason graduated from Virginia Tech with a degree in Building Construction and is a big supporter of the HOKIES.
Jason is a firm believer in a strong work ethic and can often be found in the office late into the evenings. One of his favorite sayings is “Work hard in silence. Let success make the noise.”
In the little free time that he gets, Jason gets the most pleasure from being on a lake bass fishing, on a golf course, and assembling puzzles.
