Fulton Sensabaugh

After successful experiences at both national and small construction firms, Fulton took the opportunity to join K + L in a leadership role with the objective of growing the firm.  And, he’s done just that.  Heading west from Richmond, Fulton established relationships in Blacksburg, Lexington, Staunton, Harrisonburg and points in between.  In 2008, K + L opened its Valley office in Staunton with Fulton at the helm.

With the understanding that a construction firm is only as good as the knowledge held within it, Fulton was instrumental in developing and implementing K + L’s internship program which has created a pipeline of talent for the team.  In place for more than 20 years, the K +L internship was the starting point for many of K + L’s executives today.

Fulton grew up near Staunton where his family owned and operated a Christmas tree farm.  His early exposure to the interplay between the land and machines piqued his interest in engineering.  Fulton graduated from Virginia Tech with a degree in Civil Engineering.  Always a HOKIE at heart, Fulton enjoys working on college campuses throughout western Virginia.
