David Turner

With Kjellstrom + Lee for over two decades, David has played an important role in many of our most significant and challenging projects.  Bringing extensive experience in the many technical aspects of healthcare and laboratory/scientific project delivery, as well as the complexities associated with vertical construction in tightly constrained urban environments and college campuses, he leads and supports project teams to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of their work.

Within the leadership of Kjellstrom + Lee, David provides valuable oversight of project management processes, evaluates and implements new technological tools, and takes an active role in the mentoring and development of our next generation of professionals. 

For over 15 years, he has been actively involved in the Associated General Contractors of Virginia, serving on its Board of Directors, Legislative Committee, Young Leaders Committee, and Richmond District Executive Committee.  During this time, he has advocated on behalf of the commercial construction industry broadly, as well as specifically in areas of Workforce Development, Professional Development, and Community Service.

Beyond the office and jobsite, David enjoys many outdoor sports and activities with family, friends, and peers.  He is always up for a round of golf, wingshoot, fishing adventure, or laps down a mountain – in the name of business or fun – and enjoys much of what the natural world offers for recreation.

David is a graduate of Virginia Tech and holds LEED AP, CHC, and OSHA certifications.
