VCU Institute of Engineering and Medicine

Recognized as one of the largest configurable research spaces in the U.S, the VCU Institute for Engineering and Medicine has accomplished that goal with the 25,000 SF research building, which provides students, faculty and interdisciplinary researchers alike with a state-of-the-art environment for collaboration between the VCU School of Engineering, VCU Life Sciences and the VCU School of Medicine.

Functioning as the reserach nerve center of VCU, this space features two levels of laboratory space, faculty offices, graduate student offices and related support spaces. Connected to the original VCU School of Engineering Building, this facility has full wet laboratory capabilities, including an integrated penthouse HVAC and lab-support unit, cold rooms, and 7,200 SF of open flexible laboratory space that can be configured specifically to meet individual experiment requirements.
