VCU Health Short Pump Pavilion

The VCU Health Short Pump Pavilion is an outpatient medical facility offering a new concept in outpatient medical treatment including neurosurgery (pre/post-surgical care), neurology, orthopedics, rheumatology, sports medicine, endocrinology and physical medicine and rehabilitation all in one center.  This center includes a new ambulatory surgery center (approximately 20,000 SF) which was built on the existing fifth floor and includes a 6 operating room ambulatory surgery center.  Support spaces include sterilization, administration, and an 18 bed pre/post-operative unit.  To support the new ASC, a new patient discharge area has been created on the first floor along with building a new exterior pedestrian canopy.  Additionally, a 2,000 SF area on the second floor has been converted to a physicians’ locker area and a new elevator has been added at the existing building lobby with renovations required at each floor.
