VCU Health Helipad Connector

VCUHS has once again contracted with Kjellstrom + Lee to construct a new covered walkway/connector from the helipad located on the roof of the VCUHS Medical Center and leading to the elevators within the Critical Care Hospital. The helipad, originally constructed by K+L in 2001, was designed and constructed with only one elevator and the purpose of the connector will be to provide an additional elevator and entrance into the hospital so there will be no issues (such as a malfunctioning elevator) to impede the receiving of critically injured patients as they are brought in for emergency treatment.
