LAUREL RIDGE COMMUNITY COLLEGE - FAIRFAX HALL & PAUL WOLK LIBRARY

Most full scale renovations are comprised of two things: The obvious, the eye catching,  the "Hey! Look at that!!" elements. Then there are those elements whose beauty is on the inside...literally. Inside the walls, above the ceiling, and below the floors are miles of conduit, duct, piping, and other materials related to infrastructure that allow students, faculty, and visitors to comfortably (and safely) utilize Fairfax Hall, the Paul Wolk Library and Hazel Hall.

Obvious upgrades included high-end finishes, floor to ceiling glass common areas, the addition of multiple 6’ skylights and a 36’ clerestory. Interior features included fire protection and life safety upgrades, sprinkler system, mechanical and electrical upgrades, and 4 new network control rooms were installed to handle the vast complexity of internet, distance learning, and classroom integration necessary for LRCC.
