Biotech Eight is the Virginia Biotechnology Research Park’s third multi-tenant facility. To accommodate the growth of companies that are currently located at the Park, as well as the increasing number of companies interested in relocating to the Park’s downtown campus, the facility contains custom-fitted laboratory, research and office space as well as various common areas.  The base building contains:
  • Three-level, 79,000 SF core and shell building
  • First and second floors are wet lab-ready
  • Third floor office and training spaces
  • Building is a reinforced concrete frame with masonry/cast stone exterior
  • Concrete walls installed with ICF panels to increase R-factor within building
Additional amenities include central mail and express package facilities, X-ray processing, Autoclave cold room, buffet kitchen, and conference rooms.
 
Tenants include HLA, Clear Point, OCME, Department of Forensic Science, and Cellular Therapeutics.
